Specification

Semi-coke is a low-volatility solid phase combustible with a developed pore structure formed after pyrolysis of coal. It is mainly a solid product obtained by low-temperature (500-700°C) dry distillation of peat, lignite and high-volatile bituminous coal. Semi-coke has a black and porous appearance, and its main components are carbon, ash and volatile matter.

Since non-caking coal does not soften and melt during carbonization and only removes part of the volatile matter, the solid product obtained by low-temperature carbonization of non-caking coal is sometimes called carbonized carbon to distinguish it from the solid product obtained by low-temperature carbonization of caking coal.

  • Abundant sources and lower costs: Semi-coke is a by-product or intermediate product in the coal conversion process, so its sources are abundant. At the same time, due to the relatively low production cost of semi-coke, its price in the market is competitive.
  • Wide range of applications: Semi-coke has a wide range of applications in various industries. In thermal power plants, cement plants and other industries, semi-coke can be used as fuel; in refractory manufacturing, metallurgy, aluminum industry and other industries, semi-coke can be used as reducing agent and carbon source.
