Forged coke is a type of coke. Compared with metallurgical coke, its composition is higher in carbon content and also contains a small amount of volatile substances. Generally, the carbon content of forged coke is greater than 87% and the volatile matter content is less than 3%. Due to its special chemical composition, forged coke can still maintain strong structural stability under high temperature and pressure.
Forged coke is mainly used in the forging industry and has the characteristics of high thermal stability, low oxygen content, low ash content and high carbon content. It also has certain toughness and appropriate compressive strength. In smelting, chemical industry, boiler combustion and other industries, forged coke can replace coke as the main carbon source.
